Los Isleños Fiesta
As the pinnacle event of the year for the Society, the Fiesta is a great celebration of Louisiana’s Spanish heritage. Enjoy fine Spanish dishes as you enjoy live music and dancing. Not only that, but experience heritage performances made by groups from the Canary Islands and others. You will not want to miss this!
The Historic Isleño Village
The Isleño Village features multiple homes and buildings donated by a handful of Isleño families from St. Bernard Parish to showcase the unique styles and historical depictions of life for the settlers in Louisiana.
Organized to preserve, interpret and promote the language, heritage and cultural traditions of colonists from the Canary Islands who settled in Louisiana between 1778 and 1783 as well as founded St. Bernard Parish in 1780.
About Los Isleños Museum Complex

Celebrating the Past
Since its incorporation in 1976, Los Isleños Heritage and Cultural Society has evolved into an impressive and successful organization as a reflection of the community it represents. Today the Society provides for the development of Los Isleños Museum and Historic Village. This Museum Complex is composed nine separate buildings with supporting infrastructure. Guided tours are offered to create an immersive experience into the culture and history of the Isleño community. Annually, la Fiesta de los Isleños is held on the property as a means to promote Louisiana’s Spanish heritage. Likewise, the Society supports the local public schools through Museum Days as well as a Canary Islander Descendants Scholarship.
